DataSignals Lab builds self-serve data products and an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that turn official public sources into scored, decision-ready signals. This policy explains what we process and what we do not collect.
In short: we process only the query parameters you send (like tickers or dates), we collect no personal data, you sign in with your own Apify account, and every result comes from an official public source.
What the products and MCP server process
When you (or your AI agent) call a DataSignals Lab tool, we process only the tool parameters you send — for example ticker symbols, company names, date ranges or search terms. These parameters are used solely to query the relevant official public source and return a result.
What we do not collect
- No personal data. Our sources are official, public, non-personal datasets (SEC EDGAR, openFDA, ClinicalTrials.gov, USAspending.gov, the U.S. House Clerk, NIH RePORTER, CoinGecko and the Apple App Store reviews feed).
- We do not sell data, build user profiles, or use your inputs for advertising.
- We do not ask for or store your name, email or contact details to run a tool.
Authentication and billing
The products and the MCP server run on the Apify platform. Authentication and billing are handled by Apify: - When you connect through Apify's hosted MCP gateway, you sign in to your own Apify account via OAuth. We never see or store your Apify credentials or API token. - Usage is billed per result by Apify to your own account. We receive a share of that fee; we do not process your payment details.
Data retention
DataSignals Lab does not maintain its own database of your queries. Operational run logs (inputs, status, results) are retained by the Apify platform under your account according to Apify's own data-retention settings and privacy policy. Results are delivered to you and not shared with third parties.
Sources and accuracy
All outputs are derived from official public sources and link back to the original filing or record where possible. Our products are intended for research, screening and monitoring — not investment advice. Historical patterns do not guarantee future results.
Changes
We may update this policy as the products evolve. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new "last updated" date.
